The rolling topography and the pristine forest landscape is ideally suited for cross country skiing, running, biking, snowshoeing, skijoring, etc. for all ability levels. Our resort is blessed with a microclimate that brings 250-400 inches of lake effect snow in a winter season. Unique overnight accommodations await you at Salmon Hills, and expertly groomed 16'+ wide trails. Using a Piston Bully snowcat is the ultimate tool for cultivating the snow for classic and skate skiers. Salmon Hills is just a quick 45 minutes drive north of Syracuse, NY. Our 245 acres trail system is located on the Tug Hill Plateau where the deer population yard during the tough winters due to several sections of evergreen trees. The beginner trails can take you to The Lookout Point on a mix of level and gently rolling terrain along the 7 mile long Salmon River Reservoir. Intermediate skiers can add plenty of distance and a variety of increase in elevations. Our expert trails include the highest location in Oswego County. All our trails are open to skijorers. Weekday hrs. 9am to 4pm, (8 pm Wed. night skiing), Wkend hrs. 9am to 8pm on Saturday & 9am to 4pm on Sunday.
