Spirit of St Joseph

Battenkill Rambler

Fourteen mile train ride from Salem to Shushan and back, goes through Battenkill Valley. Covered bridge museum and river front gorge museum. Open May through October, call for hours.

National Museum of Racing and Thoroughbred Hall of Fame

Displays,paintings, trophies, memorabilia. Open year round; Monday through Saturday 10AM to 4:30PM, Sunday Noon until 4:30PM.

Petrified Sea Gardens

Ancient seabed featuring petrified sea reef. Also includes Gift shop, mineral and rock museum. Open May through November. Hours: 10AM to 5PM.

Saratoga Circuit Tours

A variety of guided tours covering Saratoga Springs and the immediate vicinity are available. Tours include a two-hour long History Tour, a ghost tour which features a number of haunted buildings mentioned in the book Saratoga County Ghosts, an Architecture Tour and a Greenridge Cemetery Genealogy Tour. Open daily 9AM to 6 PM.

Saratoga Harness Hall of Fame

Saratoga Race Course

The oldest continuously running race track in the United States, featuring thoroughbred racing. Handicap accessible. Thoroughbred racing season runs from the last week in July and through August. Hours are Wednesday through Monday, 1PM post time until last race (time varies).

Uncle Sam's Grave

The grave of Sam Wilson, a meat packer who supplied beef during the War of 1812 to the U.S. Army. Soldiers interpreted U.S. Beef to mean Uncle Sam's Beef. Wilson's caricature came to represent the USA. Free admission. Open year round, daily 9AM through 4:30PM.
